Summary Of Novel

The main characters of this story are Saba, Saman, and Irtaza. The entire story revolves around them. Among these characters, Saba is the leading character who is not only the darling of her parents but also of her grandmother. Due to this affection, she becomes obsessed with the idea that her cousin Irtaza loves her. But he considers her only as a friend.

Saba’s younger sister, Saman, lives in America with her uncle. Irtaza goes to America from Pakistan on business. There, Irtaza and Saman fall in love with each other and decide to get married. The author has described these moments in very simple and straightforward words.

After reading the story, you will think, “Is this our story being told?” Now they come to Karachi, Pakistan, marry each other, and start their married life. But here the story takes a turn for the worse. From here begins a part of the relationship filled with jealousy and hatred. As soon as the morning comes, Saba starts hating her younger sister, getting jealous, and interfering in their married life.

One day, Saman goes to get a birthday cake for her son Maaz and dies in an accident there. After Saman’s death, Irtaza is asked to marry Saba, but she dies. There is also a secondary character in this novel, whose name is Samir. Sameer marries Sabah, but they don’t get along. Sabah asks him to leave her, but he doesn’t because she wants him to marry a Canadian and spend the rest of his life with him.

After Saman’s death, everyone realizes that he did not do well with his sister, and she regrets it because her life becomes difficult.

The novel ends in a very beautiful way. Saba stands in front of Saman’s picture and says this:

bin roye ansoo tahreer

Now, if I give my personal opinion, this is a great story full of social romance. I have read it seven times, but still, I want to read it again. The reason is that Ishtiaq has described this romantic novel in very simple words and has presented the characters in a very good way.

Especially, the character of Irtaza is a very good character. So, I want you to read this novel if you are.
